Invested in becoming technology pioneers in media through a recent acquisition of a technology development company, Empirics Asia is the first publishing company in Asia to introduce a new product called “Librius” which utilises a proprietary AI to read and analyse social scientific books.
By leveraging AI technology the company has developed, Librius aims to cut down the time spent on reading for the average person. The technology enables a person to efficiently gain meaningful insights and knowledge of books within minutes.
Melvin Poh, founder of Empirics Asia, commented, “Librius is an advanced and revolutionary technology that can help transform the way we learn from books. At Empirics, we are leaning into this technology to better empower people to gain knowledge in the modern age.
“By relegating the tedious reading and careful analysis of books to AI technology, Librius will allow people to focus on gaining as much valuable knowledge as possible in their busy lives while making learning from books more efficient. I truly believe that this technology could revolutionise how we acquire knowledge from such a crucial source and provide a realistic path to a polymathy.”
Using a combination of AI and narration technology, Librius will be able to engage in human-like voice conversations to teach its users the knowledge contained in each book within an average of 5 minutes or less.
With Librius, Empirics Asia aims to build a considerable digital library of important books from the social sciences that will allow users to learn from books on demand. Forgoing subscriptions and advertising at launch, the company has indicated that it is committed to making the product as accessible as possible and will be working on future features as well as updates.
